By The Lake Dental at the Queen's University Dental Brigade 2026 – Greece

"Changing lives by promoting oral health" is the statement that has guided By The Lake Dental since day one. It reflects our belief that Every Smile Matters!

After supporting the Queen's University Dental Brigade 2025 – Honduras, our team, represented by co-founder Dr. Patricia Khamis-Silva and our co-op student Sophia Silva, had the privilege of contributing to another meaningful humanitarian mission: the Queen's University Dental Brigade 2026 – Greece.

Alongside 17 university student volunteers from Canada and the United States, the Dental Brigade Greece provided preventive dental care, cleanings, and extractions while also leading oral health education workshops for refugees in Greece; people who have fled conflict in countries including Sudan, Palestine, Syria, Somalia, and many others.

Many arrived by boat after unimaginable journeys. Some made it safely. Tragically, many others did not. Those who survived carry with them not only hope, but also the deep emotional and physical scars of war.

Witnessing the impact these missions have had, both on the people we served and on our team, has inspired us to continue supporting initiatives that make a difference.

By The Lake Dental is proud to support Smiling to The World, a social impact healthcare project dedicated to bringing dental care, dignity, and hope to children in vulnerable communities in Brazil. Smiling to The World is promoted by Generous Hearts, a Canadian charitable organization, and hosted by AMIS, a Brazilian non-profit organization.
